The first gold's gym was located in Venice California and it was founded in 1965. That first gym was featured in the movie "Pumping Iron". There are now Gold's Gym locations all over the world.

World Gym
A weight training and fitness center with locations all over the world. The first Gold Gym was founded by Joe Gold in Santa Monica California in 1977.
